ACTION ITEMS

# 1. Read emails from Parnell

CG Leaders will be receiving at least bi-weekly communications from Pastor Jonathan that include encouragements, resources, and action items. They will be sent to your email inboxes through Planning Center Online. Due to the nature of these communications, please consider them to be high on the email priority list. 

 

# 2. Serve Rotation Refresh

Please send Becca Dolly (becca@citieschurch.com) a list of every member involved in the various serve teams (if your serve team list for Childcare is the same for Connection and Set-Up, just note that). But we do need a list of names. Don’t just say “my whole group.”  She will arrange for serve rotation reminders to be sent directly to the individuals of the serve teams at the beginning of the week.

What are the serve needs?

Childcare

Childcare serve teams are expected to arrive on Sundays at 9:15am. These teams will be divided up among three different age groups in the lower level classrooms. We currently need a total of 22 individuals for this team. Each individual is expected to Confirm their availability on Sundays when they receive email reminders.

Connection 

Connection serve teams are expected to arrive on Sunday at 9:30am. These teams will be divided up in three different places inside the building at Minnehaha Academy. There are additional changes to be made in this role as we want to our greeters to be more active in mobilizing guests in the discipleship process (more information to come). The individuals on these teams are expected to Confirm their availability on Sundays when they receive email reminders.

Pre- and Post-Set Up

Set-up serve teams are split between two different duties before and after the Sunday service. The pre-set up serve team (4–5 individuals) is expected to arrive at 9:15am to set up the Lord’s Table. The post-set up serve team (8-10 individuals) is expected to help tear down the stage and load the trailer after the service (around 30 minutes). The individuals on these teams are expected to Confirm their availability on Sundays when they receive email reminders.

# 3. Member Health

Over the next two weeks each CG leader will be receiving an email from Pastor Jonathan that includes a list of the covenant members in your Community Group. As mentioned at the summit on July 30, please assign one of the following six categories to each member:

Established 1 –New | Established 2 – Stuck | Established 3 – Growing

Equipped 1 –Trained | Equipped 2 – Deployed | Equipped 3 – Training

# 4. Moving Your CG to the Next Level

Consider the three categories of Community Groups. Which of these categories to you think best describes your CG? What is one thing that your CG can do this fall to move one step closer to the next level?
