Know That He Is

Psalm 46:10 The Lord says, "Be still, and know that I am God.”

And so my exhortation to you right now is “Be still and know that he is God.” No matter what you’re going through. No matter what you’re circumstances are. No matter what your heart feels.

Be still and know that he is God.

In 2 Corinthians 12 Paul was describing a situation of tremendous hardship, he was going through deep affliction and the Lord spoke to him and said.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

His grace is sufficient.

Be still and know that he is God.

When we’re unable, He is able.

When we are weak, He is strong.

When we can’t, He can.

He will never leave us nor forsake us.

If he was strong and mighty to save you even when you were dead in your sin

Then he is also strong and mighty to carry you even through the face of affliction,

He is strong and mighty to carry you even in the midst of your pain,

He is strong and might to carry you even through the sorrow of your sin.

His power is made perfect in our weakness.

A preacher once said “There is no one too weak for God to use. Only those who are too strong in themselves.”

And so in the midst of whatever situation you find yourself in recognize the sufficiency of Jesus’ grace. And in the words of Psalm 46:10 the Lord says “be still and know that I am God.”
